Virtual meeting Jan. 27 on Arlington Heights Road improvements

The Lake County Division of Transportation is hosting a virtual public information meeting from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, to discuss potential improvements along about 1.5 miles of Arlington Heights Road between Route 83 and Lake-Cook Road in Buffalo Grove.

The purpose of the meeting is to introduce the preferred alternative that details the scope, design and look of the project. While there are no plans to widen Arlington Heights Road as part of the project, it is an opportunity for LCDOT to make safety and operational improvements to the corridor, such as adding turn lanes or closing sidewalk gaps. The project is still in its preliminary phase, with construction currently scheduled for 2024.

The meeting will begin with a presentation at 5 p.m. Project team members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions from meeting attendees. The virtual meeting also will be recorded and posted online.

Anyone interested in attending must register at https://bit.ly/3r2iHWf.

Materials from the presentation will be available on the project website within a few days of the meeting. At that time, the public will be able to submit comments on the project website, via email, or through traditional mail.

Those with limited access to the internet can be provided with physical copies of the meeting materials by contacting Julian Rozwadowski, PROJECT Manager at jrozwadowski@lakecountyil.gov.
