District 64 superintendent refutes coronavirus response rumors

Park Ridge-Niles School District 64 Superintendent Eric Olson on Thursday denied rumors spreading in the community that district leaders intended to increase mandatory COVID-19 quarantine stays, purchase masks for students or switch to remote learning.

Olson said his remarks - made near the start of the evening's school board meeting - were in response to calls and emails officials had received from parents. District officials have no plans to move to remote learning or make the other changes "nor have we had conversations about doing so," Olson said.
