Gail Borden's South Elgin Branch shortens hours two days this week

Due to staffing shortages, the Gail Borden Public Library's South Elgin Branch will have shortened hours, closing at 4 p.m. instead of 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The hours will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

Library employees anticipate that the South Elgin Branch at 127 S. McLean Blvd. will return to normal hours on Thursday.

Regular hours at the South Elgin Branch are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. The lobby is open 30 minutes earlier at 9:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday, 11:30 a.m. Sunday, and it also is open until 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
