To honor Holocaust Remembrance Day on Jan. 27, the Schaumburg Library is offering an evening with author Michael Greenberg discussing his book "Tables Turned on Them: Jews Guarding Nazi POWs" on Jan. 18 and a viewing and discussion of the documentary "Hitler's Courts" on Jan. 25.

Along with Arlington Heights Memorial Library, Schaumburg Library is co-sponsoring an evening with author and filmmaker Joshua M. Greene. View Greene's 35-minute documentary "Hitler's Courts," then join him for a discussion of the consequences of appointing judges based not on their wisdom, but on their allegiance to the head of state. This program will take place online via Zoom at 7 p.m. Jan. 25.

In his book "Tables Turned on Them: Jews Guarding Nazi POWs," Greenberg chronicles his father's experience as a Jewish GI assigned to guard German POWs at Camp Clinton in Mississippi. Join Greenberg for a discussion of his book and this topic on Zoom at 7 p.m. Jan. 18.

Both programs also will be livestreamed on YouTube at SchaumburgLibrary.tv. Learn more and register at SchaumburgLibrary.org.
