McHenry County Board seeking to fill District 2 vacancy

McHenry County Board Chairman Mike Buehler is seeking applications to fill the vacancy left by former District 2 county board member Jessica Phillips, who resigned Nov. 19 because she is moving out of the district.

The county board declared the vacancy at its meeting Tuesday. The person who fills the seat will serve until December 2022.

Applicants must be Democratic and live County Board District 2. A map of the district can be found at https://tinyurl.com/2p9cwvce.

An application form can be found online at https://tinyurl.com/mrxyvmdw or at the County Board Office, Room 209, McHenry County Government Center, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock.

It is Buehler's intent to submit a nominee for county board approval within the 60-day requirement set by state law.
