Coroner's office identifies Aurora shooting victims
Aurora residents Kevonte Parker, 20, and Edward Smith, 37, have been identified as the two men killed in separate Aurora shootings.
On Sunday night, Aurora police responded to reports of a shooting on the 1400 block of Superior Street.
Parker was pronounced dead shortly after midnight Monday at Rush Copley Medical Center, according to a news release Wednesday from the Kane County coroner's office.
Smith was shot just after 3 a.m. Saturday on the 400 block of Clark Street. He died about 9 a.m. Saturday at Rush Copley Medical Center.
Both shootings remain under investigation.
