Hoffman Estates hires communications manager

Hoffman Estates has hired Tricia O'Donnell as the village's communications manager, effective Dec. 20.

O'Donnell comes to Hoffman Estates from the village of Lake in the Hills, where she has worked for nearly eight years, most recently as the administrative services manager. In that role, she was responsible for all primary municipal communications efforts.

In the newly created position in Hoffman Estates, she will be focused on creating and implementing a new communications plan, as well as enhancing the village's social media efforts. She also will work with the village's economic development team to help market and promote Hoffman Estates.

"I am thrilled to join the village of Hoffman Estates and begin working alongside this passionate, talented team," O'Donnell said in the announcement of her hire. "I know that they're eager to enhance how they connect and engage with residents and businesses."

O'Donnell has a Bachelor of Arts in studio art from North Central College and is currently working on her master of arts in strategic communication and digital strategy.
