State Rep. Bos hosts blood drive, collection for children
State Rep. Chris Bos, a Republican from Lake Zurich, is joining with various partners to sponsor a Season of Giving Blood Drive and a Spread Good Cheer Collection Drive this month. The blood drive, in collaboration with Ela Township, Brightway Insurance and Versiti, will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec 16, at the Ela Township building, 1155 E. Culver's of Lake Zurich is providing a pint of frozen custard to all donors.
The Spread Good Cheer Collection Drive benefits CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Lake and Cook Counties, which support children who have experienced abuse or neglect.
New items can be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday until Dec. 20 at Bos' district office, 92 E. Main St. in Lake Zurich. Needed items include gift cards, winter coats for teens, pajamas, undergarments, diapers, hats, gloves and socks.
