Motorcyclist injured in crash on I-90 near Elgin

A man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a motorcycle and vehicle accident on I-90 near Elgin Sunday, according to Illinois State Police officials.

Illinois State Police officers responded to the scene of a crash on eastbound I-90 near the Fox River bridge just before 4:30 p.m. A preliminary investigation found that a person on a motorcycle was traveling east on I-90 when they rear-ended an automobile.

The motorcycle driver was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. The other driver was uninjured.

An ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Illinois State Police.
