Route 64 pavement repairs in Villa Park

The Illinois Department of Transportation announced Friday that pavement repairs on eastbound North Avenue (Route 64) at Lincoln Avenue in Villa Park will require a closure of the left two lanes beginning, weather permitting, Wednesday, Sept. 8.

Drivers should expect lane closures on eastbound North Avenue between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 9. At least one eastbound lane will remain open during repairs. Westbound North Avenue traffic will not be impacted.

Drivers can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. They are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
