Masks now required in Geneva government buildings

Officials announced masks are now required in Geneva's city facilities, including at public meetings.

The city's government buildings will remain open to the public, but masks must be worn because Kane County's COVID-19 positivity rate reached a level of "substantial" transmission July 31, according to a news release from the city of Geneva.

Although the city's facilities remain open, Geneva residents are encouraged to pay utility bills and conduct other business with the city online or over the phone, the news release said.
