Elk Grove Township offering free online and telephone counseling

Elk Grove Township will continue to offer the free teletherapy counseling sessions that began in April 2020 due to COVID-19 safety restrictions, in addition to in-person counseling now that restrictions have been lifted.

"The township wants to ensure those who are in need of help are able to receive it," township Supervisor George Busse said in a news release "We encourage residents who are struggling to reach out and access either remote or in-person counseling."

Teletherapy counseling is confidential and HIPAA compliant. Services are provided through the township's Adult and Family Counseling Department and are available to individuals, couples and families. Counseling focus areas include

depression, anxiety, ADHD and Autism spectrum disorders, as well as family conflicts and negative behavior in teens.

Counselors are licensed, and bilingual (Spanish) counseling is available.
