Police: Victims of armed robbery were lured to East Dundee house

Police are investigating an armed robbery in East Dundee that happened early Tuesday.

East Dundee police were dispatched to the 300 block of River Haven Court at 2:35 a.m. for reports of an armed robbery and located four victims who weren't from the area. The victims were lured inside a house and robbed of a vehicle and their personal belongings at gunpoint, according to a news release from the East Dundee Police Department.

Statements from the victims suggest the robbery was an isolated incident and that they were specifically targeted, the news release said.

The investigation is ongoing, and police increased patrols in the area although there's no information to suggest danger to residents.

Police will be canvassing the neighborhood searching for witnesses and possible security camera footage, according to the news release.
