No injuries reported in Naperville garage fire

No one was injured in an early morning garage fire today in Naperville.

Firefighters were called to the single-family home on the 700 block of Thornapple Drive just before 5 a.m. and reported smoke showing from the roof of the two-car attached garage.

The blaze was extinguished within 15 minutes of firefighters' arrival.

A resident in the home told firefighters he was alerted by smoke detectors, smelled smoke and called 911.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The home was deemed uninhabitable by city engineers.
