Gail Borden Library branches resume regular hours

All branches of the Gail Borden Public Library in Elgin and South Elgin have resumed their normal hours of operation.

The branches, which reopened in July after being closed during the early months of the pandemic, had been operating under shortened hours.

The main branch, 270 N. Grove Ave., is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The Rakow branch, 2751 W. Bowes Road, is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The South Elgin branch, 127 S. McLean Blvd., is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
