Naperville residents invited to 'Chat with the Chief'

The Naperville Police Department is holding a meet-and-greet next week with Chief Robert Marshall and members of his senior staff.

The "Chat with the Chief" event is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. May 25 in the parking lot of Scott Elementary School, 500 Warwick Drive, according to a news release. The gathering will be moved into the school's gymnasium in the event of inclement weather.

Residents are encouraged to stop by any time during the two-hour window for an informal conversation with police leaders in a relaxed atmosphere. The event is typically hosted multiple times a year but has been on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the news release says.

"I'm really eager to get back out there and talk to citizens about whatever is on their minds," Marshall said in a statement. "We'll be ready to listen to concerns and answer questions about crime rates, police reform measures or anything else a resident wants to talk about."
