Kane seeks applicants for county board vacancy

Kane County is seeking applications for the District 13 county board seat vacated by the resignation of Steve Weber, who stepped down after being elected to the St. Charles City Council.

The term expires in December 2022. Under state law, the vacancy will be filled by appointment by the county board chair with the advice and consent of the board.

All Kane County Board members also serve as members of the Kane County Forest Preserve.

The appointed county board member must be a Republican, a registered voter, a resident of the district, 18 years of age or older, and a resident of Kane County for at least one year.

Applicants should submit a cover letter and resume, in person, by mail, or sent electronically to: KaneCountyBoard@co.kane.il.us or delivered to the county board office at 719 South Batavia Ave., Geneva, IL 60134 by noon May 21.
