Road resurfacing begins this week on Palatine, Hicks roads in Palatine

Resurfacing work is scheduled this week on both Hicks and Palatine roads in Palatine.

The work on Hicks is taking place from Northwest Highway to Lake-Cook Road and includes pavement resurfacing, concrete curb removal and replacement, and sidewalk removal and replacement to meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. The Illinois Department of Transportation expects the job complete by the end of July.

The Palatine Road work is taking place from Algonquin Road to east of Roselle Road. The project includes pavement resurfacing, concrete curb removal and replacement, drainage structure adjustments, sidewalk removal and replacement, and guardrail removal and replacement.

IDOT expects the work to be finished by the end of August.
