Road improvements planned near two Lake Zurich schools
Road improvements are scheduled to take place from mid-May through late August to improve traffic flow at Lake Zurich Unit District 95 schools along Church Street/Midlothian Road.
The school district is funding the work to improve the flow in and out of the new May Whitney Elementary School and Lake Zurich High School.
Work includes the Lake Zurich High School driveway moving slightly south, featuring two entrance lanes and two exit lanes; left and right turn lanes into the high school; a left turn lane into May Whitney; and crosswalks with beacon lights on Church Street in front of both schools, providing safe access between sidewalks on the west and east sides.
