St. Charles gas leak expected to affect rush hour Friday
Crews were on the scene of a gas leak in St. Charles expected to affect morning rush hour Friday, officials said.
The leak occurred on the 1300 block of East Main Street, causing lane closures on East Main Street and Illinois Route 64 as Nicor crews worked to repair it, the city said in a tweet Thursday. City officials advised people to avoid the area and find an alternate route.
