Glen Ellyn Fourth of July parade to return

One year after a COVID-19 hiatus, Glen Ellyn plans to again put on an Independence Day parade.

The village's Fourth of July committee announced the parade will return this summer. The volunteer-run committee relies on donations and sponsorships to bring the star-spangled tradition to Glen Ellyn.

The committee's website is now open for parade entry applications at glenellyn4thofjuly.org. Community entries are free, but donations are accepted. There's a $100 fee for parade entries promoting a product or service.

The deadline for the applications is June 1.
