Police: Bartlett woman was impaired when she struck garage
Bartlett police Sunday arrested a 39-year-old village resident on allegations she was driving under the influence when her car struck a garage.
Renee C. Silo of Bartlett faces misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and failure to give information after striking property, police said.
According to police, officers responded about 7:15 a.m. Sunday to the 100 block of Elizabeth Court. Police alleged Silo was attempting to park her 2006 Honda Civic when she misjudged a turn and struck the wooden siding on the garage.
The building did not sustain any structural damage, police said.
Officers located Silo inside her home and took her into custody. She was released on a $3,000 individual bond and is scheduled to appear May 12 at the Rolling Meadows courthouse.
