Morrison, Palatine Township host blood drive April 20

State Rep. Tom Morrison, Palatine Township and Vitalant are hosting a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, at the township headquarters, 721 S. Quentin Road in Palatine.

Appointments are required to keep volunteers and donors safe during the event. To make an appointment to donate, residents can visit https://donateblood.lifesource.org and enter search code 517D.

Food donations for the Palatine Township Food Pantry also are welcome during the event.

"Donating blood is one way every resident can help make a lasting impact - it doesn't take long and can help save a life," Morrison, a Republican from Palatine, said in an announcement of the event. Morrison, who has hosted five previous blood drives since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, was honored for his work in August by the Illinois Coalition of Community Blood Centers.

Anyone with questions can contact Morrison's district office at (847) 202-6584.
