COVID-19 vaccination site opens Thursday in Waukegan

A state-supported mass COVID-19 vaccination site will open Thursday at 102 W. Water St. in Waukegan.

It's the same location mass testing was offered last fall. Free vaccines will be offered to all eligible Illinois residents by appointment only, regardless of ZIP code.

Appointments can be made through the Lake County Health Department at https://allvax.lakecohealth.org. Residents must meet the state's current eligibility requirements to book an appointment.

Also, AbbVie and North Chicago Community Partners is now vaccinating any senior living in Lake County at its site at the Greenbelt Forest Preserve. Visit vaccine@northchicagocommunitypartners.org or call (847) 582-1362.
