Buffalo Grove lawmakers hosting environmental town hall April 7

A pair of state lawmakers from Buffalo Grove will host a virtual Environmental Town Hall at 7 p.m. April 7 to answer residents' questions about clean water access, conservation efforts and the community's clean energy future.

State Sen. Adriane Johnson and state Rep. Daniel Didech, along with state Rep. Rita Mayfield of Waukegan, will be joined by representatives of the Illinois Environmental Council, the Sierra Club Illinois Chapter, Faith in Place and Clean Power Lake County, for the event.

"Illinois possesses unique and beautiful natural spaces, but climate change puts wildlife and landscapes - not to mention our own personal health - at risk," Johnson said in an announcement of the town hall "I'm looking forward to engaging with residents to discuss how Illinois can 'go green' and secure a cleaner, healthier future for the next generation."

The free town hall will be held via Zoom. To register and receive login information, visit https://tinyurl.com/hxthw8tc.
