Vaccination clinic for Latinos this Friday in Aurora

A community vaccination clinic for Latinos in Aurora is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday at La Sierra De Aurora Banquets, 2121 W. New York St.

The event is sponsored by a coalition of Latino churches, organizations, community advocates and elected officials in Aurora formed to ensure Latino communities in Kane, DuPage, Kendall and Will counties have equitable access to and awareness of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The group's LATINvaX Aurora initiative is hosting clinics in collaboration with VNA Health Care for qualified Latino residents in CDC Groups 1A, 1B and 1B-plus. Those eligible to register must:

• Be 65 or older.

​• Be health care workers, first responders, or employed in various essential industries.

​• Have a disability or medical condition including diabetes, obesity, pulmonary disease, smoking, heart and kidney conditions, and cancer.
