COVID-19 testing in Kane County

A COVID-19 mobile testing unit will be available at Elgin Community College this week and in Aurora on Sunday.

Free testing will be available through Friday at ECC, 1700 Spartan Drive in Elgin, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or while supplies last. Mobile testing will be available Sunday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Supermercado La Chiquita, 651 Ashland Ave., Aurora.

Testing is open to all regardless of symptoms. A phone number and name are required in order to receive testing results. Photo ID is not required.

Viral testing will consist of a nasal swab. Test results are expected in four to seven calendar days.

The free drive-through community-based COVID-19 testing site in Aurora has relocated to 2450 N. Farnsworth Ave., across from the Chicago Premium Outlets. The drive-through and walk-up testing site is open 7 days a week from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
