Watch interview with Round Lake Beach candidate Nitai Pandya

Watch a candidate for Round Lake Beach mayor take part in what was designed to be a joint interview with a representative of the Daily Herald Editorial Board.

Round Lake Beach business owner Nitai Pandya answers questions about his candidacy and his position on issues facing the village during the interview, which was recorded on Zoom on Feb. 22. His opponent in the race, acting mayor Scott Nickles, did not participate in the interview. Nickles did not agree to a day and time for the interview, despite several attempts by the Daily Herald to schedule the joint session.

The election takes place on April 6. Mail-in voting begins on March 10, with early in-person voting to follow soon after.
