Barrington awards nomination through Feb. 28

Residents can submit nominations by Feb. 28 for Barrington's cultural commission's Excellence in Arts awards for 2021.

The awards goes to those who've made an outstanding contribution to the arts and culture within the Barrington area.

Nominees can represent all areas of visual, literary, and performing arts, including: painting, sculpture, photography, music (instrumentalist, vocalist, composer, conductor), theater artist (actor, director, playwright), author (novelist, poet, short story writer, essayist), dancer, educator, or arts patron.

Village officials hope to hold an awards luncheon to recognize the winners this summer at Barrington's White House.
