Dash appointed Prospect Heights 4th ward alderman

Prospect Heights Mayor Helmer appointed Danielle Dash as 4th ward alderman to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Patrick Ludvigsen at Monday's city council meeting.

The remaining two years of Ludvigsen's term will up for election on Tuesday, April 6. Dash has filed to run, as has Mariusz Foltu.

Dash, who grew up in the city and graduated from Hersey High School, has a civil engineering degree from the University of Illinois, according to the city's weekly newsletter. She has worked in the residential construction industry for 25 years. She has been on the Prospect Heights Planning/Zoning Board of Appeals for 10 years, serving as chairman for the past five years.
