Police investigate fatal shooting in Aurora

Aurora police are investigating a fatal shooting on the city's southeast side.

Officers responded about noon Monday to the 2900 block of Worcester Lane after an initial report about a suspicious-looking vehicle, according to Aurora police spokesman Paris Lewbel. As police were on their way, more calls came in to report that people in two vehicles were shooting at each other.

Officers spotted one of the vehicles and pursued it to the parking lot of Rush Copley Medical Center. A man inside the vehicle was in the back seat with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead in the hospital a short time later.

Anyone with information about the case should call Aurora Police Department at (630) 256-5500 or Crime Stoppers at (630) 892-1000.
