Barrington Chamber announces 2021 Conquer Award recipients

The Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce announced its 2021 Conquer Award recipients, who will be honored in a livestreamed event from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Jan. 28.

The program will conclude the chamber's virtual silent auction fundraiser that began this week. Proceeds will support the chamber's Lauren Brown Memorial Scholarship Fund, as well as programming and resources for small businesses and retailers.

"Our Conquer Awards celebrate stories of courage, innovation and determination," said Suzanne Corr, the chamber's president and CEO.

The award recipients, selected by the chamber's membership, are: Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital and Amita Health; Barrington Transportation Company; Barrington Youth & Family Services; L.A.N. Office Furnishings; Neoteca, Inc.; and The Club at Wynstone.

The chamber also officially will recognize its 2021 board of directors during the streaming event. The board includes executive committee members: Andrea Herran, Focus HR Consulting, chairman; Doug McAllister, Douglas Automotive, Inc., first vice chairperson; Jen Frey, Good Shepherd Hospital Health & Fitness Center, second vice chairperson; Jon Stickney, Barrington Bank & Trust, treasurer; and Keith Hanson, Hanson Law Group LLP, past chairman.
