Des Plaines District 62 reopens buildings to students

Des Plaines Elementary School District 62 reopened campuses to students and staffers Tuesday, after more than a month of all-remote learning prompted by the COVID-19 crisis.

More than 2,100 students enrolled in in-person learning programs will attend classes five days a week for full days. That's about half the student body. The other half, roughly 2,200 students, will attend classes remotely.

The district switched from in-person learning to all-remote learning in November as COVID-19 cases rose.
