District 64 boosts substitute teacher pay

Park Ridge-Niles School District 64 is increasing pay for substitute teachers for the duration of the COVID-19 crisis. The school board agreed to pay subs $145 per day, up from $120. The increase was enacted after neighboring districts raised their pay rates. The rate will drop back to $120 per day after the pandemic ends, officials said.
