Villa Park man faces child pornography charges

Bail was set at $30,000 Tuesday for a Villa Park man charged with possession of child pornography.

David K. Hibbeler, 68, of the 100 block of North Summit Avenue, was arrested Monday at his house.

He faces four counts of possession of child pornography. According to court records, the images were photographs of children under the age of 13.

DuPage County sheriff's office and Villa Park police investigators searched Hibbeler's home Monday after an undercover investigation.

The Glendale Heights and Lombard police departments helped with the investigation.

Hibbeler is next due in court Feb. 10.

He would need to post $3,000 to be released from jail. If Hibbeler posts bail, he is prohibited from having contact with anyone under the age of 18 and from using electronic devices.
