DuPage County Clerk Jean Kaczmarek announced Monday that discovery recounts in races for four offices in the Nov. 3 election confirmed the results she certified Nov. 24.

Losing candidates Jim Oberweis (14th Congressional District), Jeannette Ward (Illinois 25th Senate District), Bob Grogan (DuPage County auditor) and Tim Whelan (DuPage County Forest Preserve Commission District 4) had sought the recounts. Ballots from 286 of 930 precincts were recounted over nine days, starting Dec. 7 and concluding Dec. 23. Grogan is challenging the election results in a suit filed Dec. 24.
