Cook Memorial Public Library District is presenting "Chicago by Design," a prerecorded program highlighting builders who created the architectural vistas in Chicago seen by millions of visitors throughout the city's history at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, via YouTube. Historian David Clark will take a fresh look at the building designs and features. Included are views and discussions of W.W. Boyington's Grand Pacific and Stratford Hotels; William Le Baron Jenney's Fair Store; the Rookery and Monadnock buildings of Burnham and Root; and, the Marquette Building of Holabird and Roche.
