DuPage County mayors urge residents to take COVID-19 safety precautions

A group representing DuPage County municipalities has released a social media video urging residents to take necessary safety precautions to minimize risk and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference posted the video at www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHLPui41Jbg.

"Now is the time we need to double down on adhering to safety protocols to keep safe and suppress the virus to protect our loved ones, our friends and our neighbors in DuPage County," said Willowbrook Mayor Frank Trilla, who is president of the conference.

In addition to Trilla, the video features appearances from mayors throughout DuPage, including Burr Ridge Mayor Gary Grasso, Hanover Park Village President Rodney Craig, Darien Mayor Joseph Marchese, Winfield Village President Erik Spande, Westmont Mayor Ron Gunter, Bensenville Village President Frank DeSimone, Glendale Heights Village President Linda Jackson and Naperville Mayor Steve Chirico.

In the video, the mayors urge members of their community to wear a mask, stay socially distant, answer the phone for COVID-19 contact tracers, self-isolate when needed and get a flu shot.
