Rotary Club of Naperville hosting virtual jazz event

The Rotary Club of Naperville is hosting a virtual jazz event Thursday to raise money for mental health awareness and domestic abuse shelters in DuPage County.

The "Jazz Quilt" fundraiser will feature solo performances from jazz artists across the community and country, including vocalist Janice Borla and drummer Jack Mouse, both from Naperville. Other performers include bassist and multi-instrumentalist Larry Gray of downstate Champaign; saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Scott Robinson of Teaneck, New Jersey; modern guitar virtuoso Fareed Haque of Madison, Wisconsin; and pianist, composer, arrange and producer Pat Coil of Nashville, Tennessee.

Registration is free for the event, which begins at 7 p.m. Participants can support the cause by donating through the Jazz Quilt website, or through the sale of wine or books.
