Members of the Barrington Area Unit School District 220 have until Friday to offer input on who should be the district's next leader, via an online survey.

Superintendent Brian Harris plans to retire at the end of June, and the board of education is working with search firm School Exec Connect to find his replacement.

An online questionnaire seeking input on what the board should be looking for in its next superintendent is available at It should only take about five minutes to complete.

District 220 also plans a virtual community forum with the board and School Exec Connect consultants at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5. Those interested can register online at

Findings from the questionnaire, the virtual forum and several focus group conversations will be used to develop a New Superintendent Profile that will be reported to the school board at its Nov. 17 meeting.
