Pritzker to attend groundbreaking Saturday for Midwest Veterans Closet
A 100th birthday celebration and groundbreaking for the future home of Midwest Veterans Closet will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at the site, 1720 Green Bay Road, North Chicago.
Gov. J.B. Pritzker is scheduled to join World War II veteran and centenarian Lorraine Knuth, who heads the capital campaign, for the event. Activities begin with a 1920s era car parade, brief remarks from Pritzker and Knuth, followed by the groundbreaking, song and cake.
