Roadside check in Kane County
District 15 Illinois State Police will conduct a roadside safety check this weekend in Kane County.
The roadside safety check will happen during the late evening hours of Saturday, Oct. 10, until the early morning hours of Sunday, Oct. 11, on the westbound Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90) at the ramp from I-90 to Route 31 in Elgin.
Officers working the detail will watch for drivers who are operating vehicles in an unsafe manner, driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license, transporting open alcoholic beverages or driving under the influence.
The project is funded through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
