Inaugural Art of Inclusion piece to be painted Saturday in Naperville

The Art of Inclusion organization's first piece of inclusive-focused public art will be painted Saturday on the Naperville Township parking lot, 139 Water St.

The live street painting of the words "Naperville Together" will begin at 8:30 a.m., with local community members invited to participate by placing their handprints on the letter "N" between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., project leaders said. Artists will continue to paint until 4 p.m.

A welcome ceremony at 1 p.m. will thank sponsors and community leaders for their efforts to bring the concept to fruition.

The Art of Inclusion group was formed to create art that reflects the diversity of Naperville.
