No injuries in Mundelein fire

Just after noon Sept. 19, the Mundelein Fire Department responded to a fire at 1445 Downing Place, where the fire was put out about half an hour later and no one was injured, according to a news release from the Mundelein Fire Department.

The fire, which was located in a lower level apartment, was extinguished at approximately 12:35 p.m. by the 17 firefighters on scene. No other residents were displaced, though damage estimates were not available. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
