Man who died at Aurora park identified

A man who died earlier this week in an Aurora park has been identified as 59-year-old Joey Hill, according to the Kane County coroner's office.

Hill was found unresponsive about 7:30 p.m. Monday at Phillips Park in the 1000 block of Ray Moses Drive, police said. Paramedics attempted live-saving measures but were unsuccessful.

Hill was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:10 p.m., according to a news release issued Friday by the coroner's office.

An autopsy was conducted Wednesday, and the cause of death is pending further investigation, officials said. Toxicology samples have been sent to a forensic lab for analysis.
