Hanover Township resumes tutoring program Oct. 1

To better support students and their families concerned about the COVID-19 pandemic's impact on academic achievement, the Hanover Township Department of Youth & Family Services will resume in-person tutoring this fall to allow students the additional help to improve their academic performance.

Beginning Oct. 1 and running 10 weeks, the program will meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the town hall, 250 S. Route 59 in Bartlett.

Students in grades 2 through 12 can register for one-hour sessions at 5, 6 and 7 p.m. The tutoring fee is $45 per student per semester.

Students and tutors will be required to wear face coverings. Everyone will be required to complete a health questionnaire and temperature check before entering the workspace.

Certified teachers will work with students in small groups, with three students working alongside one tutor. For a tutoring application or more information, visit hanover-township.org or call (630) 483-5799.
