Drive-through flu shot event Sept. 8 in Rosemont

State Rep. Brad Stephens will host a drive-through flu shot event from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Sept. 8, in Rosemont.

The event will take place in the parking lot of the Rosemont Theatre, 5400 N. River Road. Drivers are asked to come in off Technology Boulevard, follow the signs and stay in their vehicle until it is their turn.

Stephens, a Republican from Rosemont, is partnering with Walgreens for the event. Those seeking a shot are asked to bring their insurance cards. The shot is free with Medicare B and PPO insurance. Those with an HMO group or no insurance will be charged $40.99, payable by check only.

"Getting a flu shot every year is important, but this year more so than ever," Stephens said in an announcement of the event.
