District 94 seeks applicants for board vacancy

West Chicago Community High School District 94 is seeking applications from community members interested in serving on the school board due to a vacancy created by the resignation of Lauren Scanlan.

Individuals living within the district's boundaries are invited to apply. The person selected will serve until April 2021, when the remaining two years of the term (until April 2023) will be filled via election.

Applicants must meet certain criteria to be a board member, including that they are a U.S. citizen, 18 or older, a District 94 resident for at least one year and a registered voter. Interested candidates must send an application to the attention of Board President, Community High School District 94 via email to cglunt@d94.org, or by mail to 326 Joliet St., West Chicago, IL 60185.

Applications must be received no later than Friday Sept. 4.
