Driver cited after car collides with motorcycle in Bartlett, injuring two

Bartlett police cited a 17-year-old driver for failure to yield at an intersection following a crash Sunday afternoon between the teen's car and a 2000 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

The 49-year-old motorcyclist and his 50-year-old passenger suffered nonlife-threatening injuries in the crash, Bartlett police said. Paramedics from the Bartlett Fire Protection District took the pair to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates for treatment.

Officers responded about 3 p.m. Sunday to the crash at the intersection of Stearns and South Bartlett roads, police said. Witnesses reported that the motorcycle was traveling west on Stearns when it struck the passenger's side of the teen's 2014 Honda Civic, which failed to yield as it turned left onto South Bartlett Road from eastbound Stearns, police said.

The driver of the Honda Civic has a court date of Monday, Oct. 26, in Rolling Meadows.
