No injuries were reported in a fire that damaged a garage Thursday afternoon in Geneva, city officials said.

Fire crews responded about 4 p.m. to the 200 block of South First Street after passing cyclists noticed smoke coming from a detached garage, according to a news release.

Firefighters found moderate smoke showing from the back of the garage. They extinguished the fire within 15 minutes.

The blaze caused an estimated $15,000 damage to the interior and exterior of the structure, city officials said. No cars were parked inside.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
